Many years ago, there lived a prince betrothed to an intended wife he had never met, much less felt any love or emotion for her. Such was his resistance to the royal wishes of marriage, he fled with his most loyal guards and servants. What became of the lost prince has long been a mystery and his secret retreat faded into legend. This adventure is written using the Swords & Wizardry system mechanic. This means it is fully compatible with other OD&D, B/X, and BECMI systems.
Layout is set up to feel like an old school Dungeons and Dragons adventure module. It’s a one-shot side quest of just seven pages, but it has a lot of fun adventure for low-level players.
Today Patrons are enjoying the first release of Haunt of the Vanished King and able to review, give feedback, and in some cases, contribute.
this started as just an idea to offer patrons quick dungeons and room encounters, but I couldn’t stop myself form making it more than that. Writing in BX and OD&D lately added to the desire to give it the look and flavor in layout and cover design.
In the weeks that follow this adventure is likely to op up here and on FriveThruRPG or some such place once all the supporters that made it possible have had a chance to roll some dice through it.
