Welcome to the first in what I hope to be numerous zines produced by the Free-Range Creative – Lloyd Metcalf. This zine and the others to follow are being created as a way to support the many Free-Range Creative endeavors and expand on some of the ways my friends, contributors, and I find inspiration. It offers a peek into the early creative processes, outlets, and ideas that we hope readers find interesting and inspiring.
This zine, Tales from the Hearth, features three short stories that leave many open ends and questions to be answered, which may encourage further storytelling and complement your tabletop gaming nights.
These tales spring from adventure ideas I’ve kept tucked away and now have fed into the tales that follow with the intent that they be used for hooks, campaign starters, food for thought, or simply fireside reading material.
